Lectures and Services 

 

Jim Nikas has lectured and served as curator for exhibitions at dozens of notable universities, colleges, museum cultural centers throughout the United States and Internationally. Whether it is audience of higher learning such as Stanford University, or a community center like the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts in San Francisco the lecture topics are tailored to each group of attendees. Lectures have covered the subjects of: Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), influence of Mexican artist José Guadalupe Posada on contemporary art movements, social commentary, tabloid press, the chapbook in Mexico and a variety of other topics. 

 

Jim's creativity and entertaining style combine with his knowledge as a researcher, documentary filmmaker and avid collector of Mexican art provide an engaging experience for anyone interested in increasing their knowledge of cultural diversity, Mexican art and traditions.
